Avery’s Hope

Avery’s Hope was born in a coffee shop in Lambertville, NJ. Now it is a nationally recognized non-profit. Their mission is to help the families of children with rare GI diseases. They spread awareness and raise money to provide the resources needed, including hospital bills, treatments, transportation and daily essentials.

My creative approach was to refresh and modernize the logo, while adding an illustrative charm of the zebra pattern throughout the brand. The organization celebrates its humble roots by supporting local businesses & artists (such as myself). The typeface ITC Avant Garde Gothic helps ground the the color palette and give the primary logo a striking impact when used on printed and digital assets.

Celebrating 10 Years T-Shirt

To celebrate 10 years of the #CaringForRare bike ride, Avery’s Hope asked me to design a t-shirt that showed the journey of Avery and the non-profit as a whole. Many children with rare GI diseases go through so many challenges like Avery, and he’s now entering middle school and thriving. I created an illustration to symbolize the impact of his journey, and the evolution of the #CaringForRare riding event.
